Well, M.O.R.E has the solution for you with our Bolt-in Sport Cages.
Built with precision to fit your Jeep and meets only the highest quality
you've come to expect from M.O.R.E products! Stock latches for the top will clear the Sport Cage cross bar, and the sun visors can be retained in the stock location. Window cranks will roll with the doors closed. The factory soft top door surrounds attach to the left and right side bars just like the stock horizontal bars. No drilling to the TJ body tub is required! It ships Fed-Ex, and comes bare steel, un-painted. This Sport Cage has been designed to be as easy to install as possible. It uses two bars (left & right), that replace the OEM horizontal bars, and a cross bar connects the left & right side bars together just behind the windshield frame. The new L&R bars make a tight bend at the windshield, then extend all the way to the floor. The footplates have a pre-welded and threaded stub that inserts into the floor drain hole, then a 9/16" bolt threads into this stub from the bottom side. This is the strongest point on the body tub and best method of attachment. (Most competitors sport cages attach to the dash, which is great for looks, and giving a bit more entry/exit room, however, it does very little from a strength standpoint.) An optional Frame Tie-In Kit (part # FTK200) is available, for the ultimate in strength. It comes with "L" brackets that attach into the stock holes in the windshield frame and then bolt to the Sport Cage. We have designed it this way so it is very easy to fold the windshield down. All necessary hardware is provided. Want more protection? Add our extra overhead bars that bolt in place. These bars make it great to install a C.B. radio overhead! Note: 2004-2006 will require minor trimming to windshield trim Sport Cage. |
